Quest for the blue ribbon

I don’t know about you, but over here in Craft Landia, it’s been pretty hectic. Yesterday, my kiddos and I drove over to Minot, North Dakota to drop off my entries! Unfortunately, the watermelon washcloth did not get entered due to milk being spilled on it. As disappointed as I was, I was relieved it wasn’t the blanket, or the bear.

We seem to be pretty accident prone around here, it just happens when you have 3 little ones running around. We stopped in Bismarck, and had some lunch, then headed north where we hit a pretty nasty storm.

The wind was so crazy it nearly dropped over two motorcycles, and a truck pulling a boat. The few tress, out in the distance looked sideways, from the 65 mph wind! I had my camera stand set up to record going through the storm, but my daughter wigged out a little and we had to cut the video short. You can clearly see the impending storm we’re driving up to.  North Dakota has some pretty amazing storms, but they are no fun to drive through.

You can see that I safely made it to where I needed to be, and got my entries in on time, with 30 minutes to spare.

I have never been so excited for fair in my life!!! I keep dreaming on that blue ribbon. Won’t be long now until we get to see. I’ll be updating on July 30th.  Here is the beautiful North Dakota sky on our drive home.

As much as I have loved doing this project, I am so ready to start diving into some new material. I have lots of very cute, and creative ideas brewing, I think you’re going to love. I’m thinking unicorns, back to school, “finally fall” (fall is my favorite time of year,) and nursery decor.

Thank you, Jennifer. I’m way more nervous than I thought I’d be.
